This cigar starts off with a strong cedar flavor in the first inch, but that quickly backs off to become more of a white pepper flavor. As soon as that white pepper shows up, a creamy caramel comes out that becomes more and more smoky and sweet, almost like a hickory flavor by the end of it. There is a bit of an herbal note and a very mild bit of that barnyard funk that starts to pick up at the end.
This stick lights nicely and burns down quite well, if not perfectly even. The wrapper is nice, the packaging is very nice, and the draw is absolutely perfect. Very solid stick that, for me, is right in the middle so far as strength of flavor (but I tend to prefer maduro or even oscuro cigars).
